Verified Collection Partner Policy

This Verified Collection Partner Policy ("Policy") governs the participation of individuals and businesses enrolled as Verified Collection Partners ("VCPs") on the BharatBin platform.
1. Purpose #
This Policy establishes the minimum standards for participation as a Verified Collection Partner on the BharatBin platform, promotes responsible collection of e-waste, and enables users to connect with independent Collection Partners through the BharatBin technology marketplace.
2. About BharatBin #
BharatBin is a technology marketplace that enables users to connect with independent Collection Partners for the responsible collection of e-waste.
BharatBin:
- does not purchase or sell e-waste;
- does not own or take title to e-waste;
- does not negotiate prices;
- does not receive or process payments;
- does not transport, store, dismantle, refurbish or recycle e-waste;
- is not a party to transactions between users and Collection Partners.
3. Eligibility #
To become a Verified Collection Partner, an applicant must:
- Provide accurate registration information.
- Provide valid identity and contact details requested by BharatBin.
- Maintain an active mobile number and email address (where available).
- Agree to BharatBin's Terms of Service and this Policy.
- Comply with all applicable laws.
BharatBin may request additional information where reasonably necessary to complete the verification process.
4. Independent Collection Partner #
Every Verified Collection Partner operates as an independent business or individual.
Nothing contained in this Policy shall be interpreted as creating an employment relationship, agency, partnership, franchise, joint venture, fiduciary relationship or any similar legal relationship between BharatBin and a Collection Partner.
Each Collection Partner independently decides how to conduct its business, subject to applicable laws and this Policy.
5. Verification #
Verification by BharatBin means only that the applicant has successfully completed BharatBin's internal onboarding and verification process.
Verification:
- is not a government licence;
- is not an environmental approval;
- is not a certification of legal compliance;
- is not a guarantee of future conduct;
- may be suspended or withdrawn at any time under this Policy.
6. Collection Partner Responsibilities #
Every Verified Collection Partner agrees to:
- Provide accurate information to users.
- Negotiate prices independently.
- Collect e-waste responsibly.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct business honestly and ethically.
- Maintain all licences, registrations and approvals required for its business.
- Cooperate with BharatBin while resolving platform-related complaints.
7. Environmental Compliance #
Collection Partners are solely responsible for ensuring that their activities comply with all applicable environmental laws, including the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, as amended from time to time.
Where required by law, Collection Partners shall transfer e-waste only through lawful channels, including authorized recyclers, refurbishers or collection centres.
Nothing in this Policy authorizes a Collection Partner to carry out any activity requiring registration, authorization, consent or licence unless such approval has been obtained from the competent authority.
8. Prohibited Activities #
A Verified Collection Partner shall not:
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Engage in fraud or deceptive practices.
- Knowingly deal in stolen property.
- Impersonate BharatBin or claim to represent BharatBin.
- Misuse another person's account.
- Engage in unauthorized dismantling, recycling or disposal of e-waste.
- Violate applicable law.
- Use the BharatBin platform for unlawful purposes.
9. Pricing #
Collection Partners independently determine:
- Whether to accept a collection request.
- Whether to purchase e-waste.
- The purchase price offered.
BharatBin does not recommend, negotiate, fix or control prices.
10. Payments #
Payments for e-waste transactions are made directly between the Collection Partner and the user.
BharatBin:
- does not collect payments;
- does not hold funds in escrow;
- does not process settlements;
- is not responsible for payment disputes.
11. User Complaints #
Users may report concerns regarding a Collection Partner through BharatBin.
BharatBin may:
- Seek additional information.
- Request clarification from the Collection Partner.
- Temporarily suspend verification while reviewing a complaint.
- Permanently remove a Collection Partner from the platform.
BharatBin is not obligated to resolve commercial disputes between users and Collection Partners.
12. Suspension or Removal #
BharatBin may suspend or terminate verification where a Collection Partner:
- Provides inaccurate information.
- Repeatedly violates this Policy.
- Receives credible complaints of misconduct.
- Violates applicable law.
- Engages in conduct that may harm users or the reputation of BharatBin.
13. Limitation of Verification #
The "Verified Collection Partner" designation indicates only that BharatBin has completed its internal verification process.
It does not constitute:
- A guarantee of quality.
- A warranty of services.
- A guarantee of legal compliance.
- A recommendation to transact.
- A representation that BharatBin has inspected the Collection Partner's operations.
14. Limitation of Liability #
BharatBin provides only a technology platform to facilitate connections between users and independent Collection Partners.
BharatBin is not responsible for:
- The condition or ownership of e-waste.
- Pricing decisions.
- Negotiations.
- Payments.
- Transportation.
- Environmental compliance.
- Acts or omissions of Collection Partners.
- Disputes between users and Collection Partners.
15. Changes to this Policy #
BharatBin may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable laws, technology, platform operations, or business practices.
The updated Policy will become effective upon publication on the BharatBin website unless otherwise specified.
Continued participation as a Verified Collection Partner after publication of the revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
16. Governing Law #
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Rajpura, Punjab.
